Bangalore Blues
Off late, I've taken to choosing my font much before I start typing something. It can be seen as a peculiarity that I take atleast 45 minutes to get the right font and make it appear at the right size before I even start ranting about what's good, bad and ephemeral in our state of lives. This is Georgia, for instance, and I've used it many times in my stories and sections sent across to magazines. I like it.
So, now that that's done, let's get on with the blogging bit.
It's a cool breezy day - a Sunday - in Bangalore. Having been sloshed, hungover, dumped and ripped by alcohol, a motley crew of buzz out chemics and some general revelry bordering on hyperactive paranoia, it's a relaxed day where there's not any shoot, i've had lunch and am looking forward to a soothing time with a spliff and some movies begging to be watched. Maybe I shall watch Pan's Labyrinth or some action gut-buster mindless flick.
Just realised that this blog has been dormant since fuckin' June! And so many things have happened since then. But amongst the highlights: a) freelance scenes here only got worse (b) two lovely friends got married in the Himalayas (c) we snooped around in Raw country (d) had my first domestic flight in like 24 years and continue to do do.. :) (e) walked freely in the world's biggest rainforests in Malaysian Borneo (f) got over my fear of hookers (g) realized that some friends are not really friends but jealous bastards preying on all that you share (h) also realized that somehow me and Simar are just meant to be living together (i) shot a video on HD (j) had a first ever photo exhibition at Kyra, Bangalore on Sep 4 with Parachute XVI (k) redisovered the straight-forward, non-malicious nature of most friends here (l) reaffirmed that I can space and base myself in any given little space (m) that I'm more of a spiritual Gonzo than a doped out dimwit (k) that now is the time to expand infinitely and lastly, (l) that life is beautiful and uncomplicated unless you want to make it that way.
Anyways, more posts later on. Gotta go. This keyboard sucks anyways, and it's taking the joy out of typing fluidly on this lovely-serifed Georgia.
